Having lost the opportunity to hold traditional shows due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Balenciaga fashion house took an unusual step.
While other fashion houses are limited online impressions or hold small catwalk shows with limited attendance, Balenciaga decided to go in a more original way. The result was the appearance of the computer game Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow.
The promotional video and description provided so far is too general and does not give a complete picture of the content and gameplay. Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow is reportedly an allegorical adventure set in the year 2031, in which "the hero's avatar travels through separate locations, motivated by tasks and interactions with other characters." And it is obvious that the new Balenciaga collection will be in the spotlight.

It is expected that the game will show us a comprehensive look at the near future in which these clothes will be worn. According to the creators, humanity is now on its way to "returning to a healthier balance between nature and technology" and this idea will be reflected in the gameplay. It is also claimed that the most modern approaches were involved in the creation of the game. And how interesting the gameplay will be, we will find out very soon - the official launch of Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow is scheduled for December 6th.
It should be noted here that in recent years, cooperation with the creators of games to launch something new has become commonplace. So, in 2017, Porsche introduced the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS model through the game Forza Motorsport 7. And the Guns N'Roses song "Shackler's Revenge" debuted in Rock Band 2. And representatives of the fashion world tend to remind themselves - so last year Louis Vuitton began creating virtual game items for League of Legends.
