For $30 guests get unlimited access to the cheese menu for 75 minutes.
The world's first conveyor belt restaurant specializing in cheese has opened in London. The unique concept was developed by the local company The Cheese Bar. The Pick & Cheese restaurant operates in the Seven Dials Market in West London.
The owner of an unusual restaurant, Matthew Carver, said that he drew inspiration from the kaiten conveyor belt sushi restaurants that have become popular in Japan. Ultimately, the restaurateur decided that serving cheese-based dishes like this would attract more connoisseurs than a traditional wine bar.
Pick & Cheese's menu features dozens of different cheeses from around the UK, served alongside other appetizers and wines from local producers. As with conveyor belt sushi bars, plates are given a specific color when served to make it easier to calculate the cost of dishes.
On Wednesdays, Pick & Cheese attracts especially many guests with a special offer - for 25 pounds (about 30 dollars) guests are offered unlimited access to the restaurant's cheese menu for 75 minutes.
