A cult American brand and denim as a cult sportswear category.
Playboy is entering the fashion world with the launch of its own brand of men's and women's denim. The first line includes 18 models of jeans, including skinny, flared, skaters, as well as classic straight and high-waisted and low-waisted models.
The new Playboy jeans are available in a variety of colorways including camo, pink, black and classic blue. On the right pocket of each model flaunts a branded image of a rabbit.
“We have seen strong demand for Playboy branded denim through our licensing collaborations, and we’re excited to launch Playboy’s first owned-and-operated denim line in time for the holiday season,” commented Ashley Koechter, PLBY Group President, Global Consumer Products.
The company said the Playboy Denim line was the result of a collaboration between "the iconic American brand and denim, the iconic American sportswear category."
“We used the brand's signature codes of the Rabbit Head and Masthead logos, reinterpreting them for the modern consumer with custom studs and leather, embellished graphics, patches and prints,” said Jason Mahler, Vice President of Design at PLBY Group.
Playboy Demin jeans retail for $80 to $110 a pair. They are already on sale on the official website of the brand.
