According to the official story, Shinobu Suzuki didn't want to put up with the fact that his wife's hands were gradually hardened from housekeeping. Thanks to many efforts and diligence, he managed to create a cream that allowed the skin to remain soft for as long as possible. It is believed that the cream was based on some national skin rejuvenation recipes used by geishas. Well, having created it, Suzuki realized that he had found a gold mine. In 1929, he set up a small factory in Shizuoka Prefecture.
The now familiar name appears only in 1940, when POLA Chemical Industries Inc. However, after World War II, the name was changed to POLA Cosmetics Inc.
Product Popularity POLA at home allowed to enter foreign markets - in 1958, the first representative office appeared abroad, in Hong Kong. And two years later, the brand comes to the USA.
