Great musicians and photographers capture what we can’t always express with words.
Polaroid, world-famous for creating the instant camera, enters the new market with the release of the first ever media player.
“Great musicians and photographers capture what we can’t always express with words,” said Polaroid chairman, Oskar Smolokowski, in a statement. “They make us feel. We’re new in the music world, but we want to bring as much color and emotion to the space as we can. We’re excited about this new chapter while still being as committed as ever to instant photography.”
The line includes four models - from mini-players to classic wearable devices P1 and P2. The collection is completed by the P3 boombox and the powerful P4 speaker. Each model is presented in signature colors that reflect the Polaroid style. The players also have a red button that references the Polaroid camera trigger.
Polaroid players operate on a free stream of FM stations available to customers in the US and Canada, as well as Western, Central and Northern Europe. The player's stations can be switched without lifting the handset. The cost of the devices ranges from $60 for the mini version to $290 for the maxi station.
