Participants in the Whopper Dance Challenge will be able to get the Whopper, the chain's popular hamburger, for $1.
The promotion is held from June 18 to June 28 - according to its terms, in order to order a hamburger online Burger King at a price of 1 dollar, the user will have to pay in TikTok short dance video
Popular users of TikTok, a youth social network that allows you to share short videos, will post videos with dance moves on their pages. The task of the action participants is to repeat the shown dance, the movements of which will in one form or another remind of a hamburger, and to film their dance on video. It is the dance video that will serve as an order at Burger King.
In order to order a $1 Whopper, you need to subscribe to Burger King's TikTok channel. The dance video is then posted to TikTok with the requirement to use the brand's suggested soundtrack and the hashtag #WhopperDance.
After publication, the user receives a message with a unique code that will need to be entered when ordering through the Burger King application. After placing an order, you can pick up your hamburger yourself at one of the chain's restaurants, or you can use the delivery option. For free shipping, the minimum order amount must be at least $10.
The collaboration will be one of Burger King's biggest, giving the chain a new direction in the use of social media. According to Jorge Luis R. Oliveira, director of the company's media and social channels division, the company is constantly investing in its own digital channels of communication with customers and is always looking for innovative ways to interact with them.
