In the ranking of the 20 most favorite brands of Russians, Xiaomi and Puma showed the best results.
OMI has published a new rating "Favorite brands of Russians". Traditionally, both a list of the 20 most favorite brands and ratings for individual categories were presented.
The first five in the TOP-20 ranking have not undergone any changes for several years now. First place stable goes to Samsungfollowed by Adidas, Nike, Apple and Sony. The top ten does not change much either. The main change this year was the appearance in it Xiaomi company, which first appeared in the ranking last year, and immediately got to 11th place. This year, it has already moved to the 8th, displacing LG from there. Given the pace at which Xiaomi is developing and how interesting devices it presents, it can be assumed that next year this company may well get into the top five.

The main changes are observed at the bottom of the TOP-20 list. Brands here change their positions from year to year, dropping out altogether, then returning again. As in the case, for example, with Toyota, which managed to return again, finishing in 19th place. Nestle also returned, finishing in 16th place. And here Puma made a remarkable jump from 19th immediately to 11th place. This is the most significant breakthrough in the 2019 ranking.
Worst of all things went to Chanel. If last year the brand occupied the 13th position, then this year it dropped out of the ranking altogether. H&M isn't doing much better, it's the retailer that dropped from 12th to 17th place.
At first glance, it may show that there are not so many changes. But this is only if we talk about the TOP-20 list. In the ratings by category, passions are constantly “boiling”. For example, in the “Clothes” and “Shoes” sections, Adidas broke into the lead, last occupying this position in 2011. In the category "Online stores" Ozon managed to dislodge AliExpress from the first place. And in the category "Cars" BMW has regained its leadership position, lost last year. Noticeable changes are also taking place in Confectionery, where the Yashkino brand is constantly improving its position.
The Favorite Brands of Russians rating was created by OMI (Online Market Intelligence) in 2007. Research is conducted through online panels created by the company itself. 1,500 people aged 18 to 55 from different major cities of the country take part in the rating.
