Clothing rental company Rent the Runway partners with popular hotel chain W Hotels Marriott International.
Upon arrival at the hotel, guests can pay a fee of $69, after which they will have access to a variety of clothes from the Rent the Runway collection that they can wear during their stay. This will eliminate the need to carry extra things with you, it will be possible to travel light, taking only the most necessary. According to representatives Rent the Runway, this idea looks "magical".
It is stated that a variety of clothes will be included in the collections presented in the hotels. Naturally, the climate and the expected types of activity in the area will be taken into account. For example, in a hotel with a swimming pool you will be offered bathing suits, and in a ski resort, respectively, everything you need for skiing. Rent the Runway will deliver the required items to W Hotels where they will be brought to the hotel room. When checking out, clothes can simply be left in the room.
So far, the new service will only be available at a few hotels in Florida, Colorado, Washington DC and California. In the future, it is planned not only to expand cooperation with W Hotels, but also to look for new partners.
At the same time, Rent the Runway is expanding other areas. So, earlier the company announced the beginning of the rental of sports and ski clothing from brands such as Lululemon and Aztech Mountain, ahead of the winter season.
