It is reported that the well-proven Il-96 aircraft will be the basis of the new project. It was designed back in the late 80s of the last century, but is perfect for adapting to modern conditions. In small batches, this model is produced today, the demand for it is very small.
The countries agreed as follows: intellectual property and engineers will be from Russia, while China will take over the production and sponsor the project.
