A new installation installed in a prestigious area of Seoul is an opportunity to admire stormy waves away from the ocean.
The image is created according to the principle of the so-called. anamorphic illusions that allow you to achieve the effect of depth and make the picture three-dimensional. Thanks to this, this installation is not just another building with a large screen around the perimeter. It seems as if the water is splashing inside a huge transparent aquarium. It turns out a really bewitching spectacle, complemented by appropriate sound effects. You can watch for a long time, if not endlessly.
The wave simulation called Public Media Art # 1 Wave was created by d'strict. For its implementation, a smart screen with an area of 1600 sq.m. was used. (80 meters wide and 20 meters high) - four times the size of a basketball court. The resolution here is 7840x1952 and this is probably the only screen in the world that can boast of such characteristics. When creating such a monster was involved Samsung Smart LED technology, which provides high quality color reproduction and ensures that everything is clearly visible even in bright sunlight.
The installation is part of K-Pop Square at the Coex Exhibition Center in Gangnam-gu, south of Seoul. It took more than two months to install - it took more than 30,000 individual modules to be interconnected, each of which has an area of \u200b\u200bjust over 1 sq. cm. An additional complication was the rounding at the corners of the building.
Immediately after its appearance, the installation became a local landmark. The number of views on YouTube is already in the hundreds of thousands.
