At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung revealed the latest additions to its Galaxy Note lineup, the Note 10 and Note 10+.
Unlike previous Note releases, the phone now comes in two sizes to suit the user's preferences. The Note 10 has a screen size of 6.3 inches, while the Note 10+, at 6.8 inches, is the largest screen Samsung phone has to date.
Samsung President and CEO DJ Koh emphasized in his speech that future innovations will not only be about devices, but also about new services and ecosystems. However, Galaxy Note devices are interesting in their own right. Both phones include features never seen before in previous releases. The larger Note 10 model has four cameras on the back, including one dedicated to AR video and drawing. With the new Note 10, the S Pen has received a significant upgrade, including a 6-axis sensor that allows users to control the phone with gestures: take pictures, zoom in, and change the camera perspective. The AR Doodle feature allows the stylus to work like a mixed reality brush. Images can be drawn directly on photos and videos. The new Galaxy Note models have lost the Bixby button and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The camera systems of both Note 10 phones are equipped with new professional editing tools. The idea is that users will be able to shoot, edit and watch professional-quality videos right on their device.
The devices will go on sale in Russia on August 23 at a suggested retail price of 89,990 rubles. and 76,990 rubles. respectively and will be available in the colors Aura, White, Black, Red. From August 8 in company stores and on Samsung official website users can pre-order new models and receive a Galaxy Watch Active as a gift. The new smartphones will also be available under the Samsung Forward program, under which the monthly payment for the use of Note10 and Note10+ will be 4,690 rubles. and 5,490 rubles. respectively.
Samsung also unveiled a new laptop today: the Galaxy Book S. The company says the new computer - with a 13-inch touchscreen - "looks like a laptop" but has "the essence of a smartphone." In practice, this means that the Galaxy Book S contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx chip and not the Intel processor you might expect. It also has built-in LTE connectivity. The laptop's battery lasts 23 hours and can be charged via USB-C, so you can use the same charger as your Note 10 (or many other smartphones).
