The South Korean manufacturer is bringing three models of the Galaxy S20 to the market, as well as a smartphone with a folding screen Galaxy Z Flip.
South Korean Samsung Electronics Corporation held a presentation of new mobile devices Galaxy line in San Francisco. In total, three new models of flagship smartphones were presented - Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Each model has 128 GB of built-in memory, which will hold up to 750,000 photos. Using MICROSD, the memory of the smartphone can be increased up to 1.5 TB.
The first two devices received 64 MP main cameras, and the Ultra model received 108 MP. One of the distinguishing features of the new smartphones was the use of a camera based on artificial intelligence. The cameras also have a Space Zoom function that allows you to zoom in on the subject up to 30x and 100x, respectively. Another option in the new line is the "multi-shot" mode.
The devices use an updated secure processor designed to protect the PIN, password, and secret key. The battery capacity is 5000 mah, and Samsung notes that this is a "smart" battery that "adapts to your mobile habits to save energy and last longer on a single charge."
“We are entering a new decade where 5G will completely change the way we interact with the world around us,” says Samsung Electronics. “Because all three variants of the S20 come with 5G connectivity, Samsung offers a next-generation device to transform people's lives.”
It is known that in Russia a new line of smartphones will go on sale on March 13, 2020. The manufacturer's recommended price will be 69,990 rubles for the Galaxy S20 model, 79,990 rubles for the S20+ and 99,990 rubles for the top-end S20 Ultra.
The presentation also featured a new folding screen smartphone Galaxy Z Flip. The new device features a 6.7-inch screen with flexible glass and a hinge mechanism. Samsung emphasized that when folded, the smartphone fits in the palm of your hand. Galaxy Z Flip has a dual screen mode and the ability to open multiple active windows at once. The smartphone is equipped with a wide range of cameras for capturing photos and videos.
The device will be sold in radiant amethyst and black diamond colors rather than some markets also in gold. The novelty will enter the Russian market from February 14. It is expected that the retail price of the smartphone will start from 119,990 rubles.
The company also presented the new Galaxy S20 Buds + wireless headphones with three microphones and two-way speakers. The manufacturer claims 11 hours of battery life for the S20 Buds+. Headphones will be compatible with the iOS operating system through the use of a special application. Their cost in Russia will be 10,990 rubles.
