The cost of a dish from a Dutch restaurant is 5,000 euros, all proceeds from its sales will go to charity.
The Dutch restaurant de Daltons, which specializes in burgers, has introduced an unusual dish to its menu - a burger worth 5,000 euros (or almost $6,000). The new dish was named Golden Boy ("Golden Boy"). The name was chosen not only because of the cost, there is really real gold in the dish - the burger buns are covered with it, which emphasizes the luxury of the ingredients and makes a vivid visual impression.
Among the ingredients of the burger are smoked duck egg mayonnaise, white truffle, cucumber and tiger tomato marinated in matcha tea, Wagyu Burger A5 special grade of wagyu beef (where A5 means the highest quality grade), cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce with Macallan whiskey and exotic Kopi Luwak coffee varieties, king crab meat, beluga caviar, Joselito Bellota Iberico jamon and many other gourmet products, each of which is far from cheap in itself. And along with the burger, the guest of the restaurant receives a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne.

Such an unusual dish was prepared with the expectation of winning the title of the most expensive burger in the world. According to restaurant owner Robbert Jan de Veen, breaking the world record was his childhood dream. And during the pandemic, when the flow of restaurant visitors began to dry up, this idea became an excellent marketing move that attracted the attention of connoisseurs of haute cuisine and a luxurious lifestyle from all over the world to the establishment.

Golden Boy can be freely purchased at the restaurant, however reservations are required at least two weeks in advance. The restaurant also asks for a deposit of 750 euros for one burger planned to be eaten. However, it is emphasized that the restaurant does not earn on such an expensive dish. €5,000 for the burger sold at the record-breaking ceremony was donated to the country's National Food Bank, so the government can provide hundreds of people in need with basic food packages.
