Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group, whose interests include real estate, tourism, culture and more, will make a deal to buy an American cinema chain AMC Entertainment.
The deal will amount to 2.6 billion US dollars, including the amount of repayment of the company's debts. The acquisition will be the largest ever purchase by a private Chinese company of a foreign enterprise. Wanda also commits to continue investing in the development of the operator, the amount of 500 million US dollars is negotiated.
Through the acquisition, the Chinese company becomes the largest cinema operator in the United States. The deal also once again demonstrates the trend of recent years, according to which Chinese firms are the leader in the acquisition of various foreign companies.
