Samsung's vertical TV lets you view Instagram stories on a big screen.
South Korean conglomerate Samsung Electronics has opened a pop-up store in Seoul and introduced a new vertical screen TV. The new product takes into account the needs of the millennial generation and reflects their taste and lifestyle in residential areas, the company's press service noted. Responding to the latest demands from Gen Y consumers who are well-acquainted with mobile content, Samsung has developed a new concept of the Vertical TV that allows you to view mobile content in the most convenient way.
The new series TVs are equipped with a 4.1-channel 60-watt high-end speaker and can be used to play various online music services and music stored on smartphones. The new device features a simple design, thin body, and the ability to rotate the 43-inch screen by 90 degrees.
When the TV is not in operation, photos, clocks, colorful screensavers and other content can be displayed on the device to create a unique interior in the position of a giant digital photo frame. To view normal content, the TV works in a classic horizontal format and is equipped with metal stands. The device is equipped with a "smart" voice assistant Bixby.
«Samsung постоянно выпускает инновационные продукты, среди которых на протяжении многих лет лидируют телевизоры», — прокомментировал Хан Чон Хи, президент divisions of Samsung for the production of video displays.
The new vertical screen TV will go on sale in the market in South Korea at the end of May 2019. It is expected to have a retail value of 18.9 million won, which is equivalent to 105,000 rubles.
