A sports mask from a well-known brand was completely sold out within an hour of being on sale.
Protective masks today are rapidly entering the category of essential goods. Moreover, they are increasingly being used not only for everyday wear, but also for sports. Not surprisingly, sports equipment manufacturers like under armorbegan to take a closer look at this category of goods.
According to Under Armor CEO Patrick Frisk, the company's new sports mask sold out less than an hour after it went on sale. The new $30 has been specifically designed for athletes and is the brand's first commercially available mask.
Reusable and water resistant, this mask has been specially designed to guarantee the athlete's normal breathing even during a very intense workout. The upper part of the mask is equipped with a special clip that allows you to tightly cover the bridge of the nose and prevent glasses from fogging.
The mask has three layers - perforated fabric on the outside, a special open-cell foam in the middle and an antibacterial layer on the inside. The inner layer is made of specially developed Iso-Chill Under Armor fabric, which ensures that the skin of the face will sweat less. This layer is treated with PROTX2 technology, developed by sports fabric manufacturer IFTNA, to provide protection against bacteria. According to Under Armor, laboratory tests have shown that PROTX2 destroys COVID-19 as well.
Despite the rather high cost, all stocks are already sold out. But athletes who want to get this mask can pre-order on the Under Armor website. Pre-orders are expected to ship on August 17, but it is possible that this will happen earlier.
