The first edition of the But Have You Read the Book? will take place on November 16th.
Starbucks and Netflix announce a partnership to create exclusive social content. The partnership will be developed through the “Netflix Book Club”, a community of literature and entertainment lovers who are the first to know about new books, films and series adaptations.
Starbucks and Netflix will be collaborating on a monthly book show called But Have You Read the Book? Each episode will be set in different parts of the United States and will be streamed on the Still Watching Netflix Youtube channel and on the official Netflix Facebook group. The first series will be released on November 16, 2021, and the first book of the month will be the novel Passage by Nella Larsen.
The program will be centered around new books and series that three-time Emmy Award winner and Orange Is the New Black star Uzo Aduba will discuss over coffee at Starbucks along with guest stars.
Topics for discussion on the show will range from what drew celebrities to work or how they feel about the storyline, to what message they think viewers and readers will take away from a new book or new series.
“The new relationship we forged with Netflix for But Have You Read the Book?” is an exciting way to bring these third-place conversations to our customers, wherever they are,” commented Starbucks CEO Brady Brewer, noting that coffee brings people together to spend time together with loved ones, friends and even strangers.
