The global Snickers resale market grew to $6 billion in 2019.
Detroit-based sneaker and streetwear retailer StockX has unveiled its own ranking of the most popular sneakers in 2019. Over the past twelve months, the platform has more than doubled the number of sellers and buyers, and its valuation has surpassed the $1 billion mark for the first time.
StockX sales in European markets increased by more than 100% in a year. New offices, as part of the business expansion, opened in Tokyo, New York and Silicon Valley. Sports brands including Adidas have partnered with the platform to release exclusive designs. On the wave of successful development, the platform studied consumer demand in order to rank the most popular models of the year.
The most popular brands on StockX in 2019 named Jordan, Adidas и Nike with an average resale value of $266, $295, and $230, respectively. The brand led the fashion streetwear market in 2019 Supreme with an average resale value of $170 per item. Bape $189 took the second place in the ranking, and Kith closed the top three with $186.
