The Stressless brand comes from Norway. It belongs to the Ekornes ASA concern, which also owns the "furniture" brands Ekornes and Svane. Factory JE Ekornes Fjærfabrikk started its work in 1934 and its first products were mattresses and springs for furniture.
The first products under the Stressless brand, these were armchairs, appeared on the Norwegian market in 1971. As the name implies, this trademark produces cozy comfortable upholstered furniture - “stress-free” furniture.
The Stressless range includes office furniture, sofas, custom-designed AAOS-approved recliner chairs (reclining chairs), home theater seats, and more.
The company has received several patents describing a special sliding mechanism. These developments are used to enhance the comfort of Stressless chairs, which can be unfolded and folded using your own body weight, which is extremely comfortable and does not require additional effort.
