The North Face launches clothing made from the innovative FUTURELIGHT fabric introduced at the beginning of the year.

FUTURELIGHT is a waterproof material that can withstand heavy loads. It is soft, lightweight, stretchy and comfortable, as well as durable. The material is created using innovative nanotechnologies that allow you to adjust the weight, stretch, breathability, durability, construction and texture of the fabric according to the needs of consumers.
The development of the new fabric took more than three years of research, as well as laboratory and field tests. And now the brand is starting to use FUTURELIGHT to create jackets, trousers and other apparel in the Summit Series, Steep Series and Flight Series collections. The new fabric allows The North Face to create very light three-layer clothing with front and protective layers. It is important to note that all of the 90% is made from recycled materials.
“We start with jackets and outerwear, but we won't stop there. FUTURELIGHT can theoretically make anything breathable, waterproof and finally comfortable. This technology paves the way for the future of technical fabrics and provides endless possibilities across all of The North Face's product categories,” said Scott Mellin, Global General Manager Mountain Sports at The North Face.

Starting today, FUTURELIGHT clothing is available at The North Face stores and online. A total of 22 titles were presented. Two dozen more will appear in the spring of 2020. You can already find the first reviews of new models on the Web. In general, they are very positive.
