Tiffany & Co. presented a new collection "Time For Speed," which included a luxury watch stylized as a vintage sports car.
The flagship version of the Race Car Clock is priced at 215 thousand dollars. A more modest model is presented at a price of 40 thousand dollars.
The watch is designed in the signature Tiffany Blue shade, and the paint is exactly the same as the one used by automobile companies to make cars. The only difference is that real diamonds are added to it.
The bezel and engraving plate of the watch are adorned with stones weighing more than 19.5 carats in total. The jewelers at Tiffany & Co. set the diamonds in the watch by hand. The brushed stainless steel aperture of the Race Car Clock displays the hours and minutes, while the escapement and balance wheel are located under the dome of the new work of art.
Despite the apparent complexity of the mechanism, the clock winds up like a child's toy - all you have to do is move the car backwards, using any smooth surface. To set the time, simply turn the steering wheel.
