A well-known Chinese manufacturer of portable electronics announced a change in development strategy, under which a sub-brand called MiJia will be created.
The new brand is dedicated to the smart home appliance ecosystem.
The first device has already been presented - a “smart rice cooker” (by the way, the name MiJia itself literally translates as “rice house”). The device can distinguish up to 200 varieties of rice and knows almost 2,500 ways to cook it. Moreover, the cooking mode is able to turn on automatically. If necessary, users can make their own adjustments to the cooking process.
Sales of the device in China will start on April 6th. Its cost will be about $150 dollars. It is not yet reported when the company plans to start sales in other countries.
