Instead of top models, the brand's shows and advertising campaigns will feature women known for their achievements.
Famous "angels" Victoria's Secret once made a name for the brand, top models, personifying the ideals of beauty, in the brand's underwear did not leave the covers of magazines. However, the private label has been criticized for imposing unrealistic standards of beauty and sexuality, such criticism has even led to a decrease in interest in the brand from buyers who began to prefer more inclusive brands.
Now it has become known that Victoria's Secret will say goodbye to the concept of "angels" and, following current trends, will follow the path of a new definition of the beauty and sexuality of women. Instead of top models such as Elsa Hosk, Sarah Sampaio or Behati Prinsloo, it is planned to attract women whose achievements lie not only in the field of modeling to advertising campaigns and brand shows.

Among them are the names of actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the famous football player Megan Rapino, freestyle skiers Eileen Goo, lawyer Paloma Essler, transgender model Valentina Sampaio and several others. The women who will be involved in the new generation of advertising campaigns will no longer be called "angels", but simply VS Collective. With their help, the brand intends to fit into the changed realities and become more inclusive, focusing on the preferences of women themselves, and not on what men want them to be.
For the first time, "angels", who traditionally wore decorative wings along with underwear, took to the catwalk during the Victoria's Secret fashion show in 1998. They have included many famous supermodels over the years, such as Adriana Lima, Tyra Banks, Candice Swanepoel, Helena Christensen, Laetitia Casta, Miranda Kerr and many others. Among the "angels" visited many of the highest paid models in the world, they were such an outstanding phenomenon that they even received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
