More than a decade has passed since the Coca-Cola Company experimented with the taste of drinks.
And then came the announcement, which announced that Orange Vanilla Coke and Orange Vanilla Coke Zero Sugar would be on sale in the United States at the end of February.
As told in an interview with Business Insider Kate Carpenter, responsible for development of the Coca-Cola brand, the company began exploring the possibility of creating new flavors about a year ago. According to her, although drinks with new flavors did not appear on the shelves, work in this direction was very active.
Coca-Cola settled on Orange Vanilla as a new flavor after a successful trial in Canada, where the new drinks were briefly available for sale last summer. Testing showed that consumers liked the new taste and it was decided to put it into series.
Representatives of Business Insider, who have already had a chance to try the new drink, also confirmed that its taste turned out to be more attractive than they initially expected. According to them, it turned out something like cola with notes of Fanta.
Coca-Cola also announced the launch of a marketing campaign aimed at promoting new flavors in the market. When the new flavors will appear outside the US is still unknown.
