The new silhouette is half skater shoes and half hiking boots.
The iconic brands Vans and Timberland have teamed up for the first-ever collaborative collaboration and presented a unique line of footwear. The capsule commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Half Cab model.
The resulting collaboration is a hybrid silhouette of Vans Skateboarding x Timberland Half Cab Hiker, which is half skater shoes and half hiking boots.
The Half Cab Hiker silhouette is an amalgamation of the Half Cab and Timberland Euro Hiker, lightweight and durable hiking boots first released in 1988. The release notes that the new model is ideal for walking around the metropolis in cold weather due to the silhouette in dark tones.
The new models, with the well-recognizable Half Cab style upper and rubber soles, are embellished with eyelets, two-tone round laces, and double logos. The boots are made from premium Timberland leather, and the ReBOTL lining is 50% recycled plastic. The shoes are available in Wheat and Chocolate/Olive colors.
The Timberland Premium waterproof boots have also been reimagined in collaboration with Vans. In a new streetwear-inspired design with a focus on skateboarding, they are in black and are called Vans Skateboarding x Timberland 6-Inch Boot.
The new models will go on sale December 20 at select Vans and Timberland stores, as well as on the websites of both brands. The Half Cab Hikers will cost $160 and the 6-Inch Boot will cost $230.
