The four-seater will start at 390,000 euros in Europe.
Ferrari has released the long-awaited Purosangue, the first SUV in the company's 75-year history. The 715-horsepower 4-seater joins an exceptional lineup of luxury SUVs that includes the Lamborghini Urus, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and the Aston Martin DBX.
However, Ferrari prefers not to classify its new brainchild Purosangue as an SUV, focusing on sports performance, comfort and versatility.
Purosangue is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with up to 8,250 rpm of torque. In the SUV class, it is one of the fastest cars in the world, with a top speed of 310 km/h and an acceleration time of only 3.3 seconds.
The dimensions of the Ferrari Purosangue are 4973 x 2028 x 1589 mm with a wheelbase of 3018 mm. The mass of the car is 2033 kg, the volume of the trunk - 473 liters, and the tank volume - 100 liters. Purosangue received a completely new suspension system and an eight-speed transmission. All-wheel drive works up to 4 gears and 200 km/h, after which there is an automatic switch to rear-wheel drive.
Ferrari offers leather, carbon fiber and alcantara interior trim. A tinted glass roof is available as an optional extra. The rear doors of the electrically-operated car open in the opposite direction of driving.
The Maranello-based company started taking pre-orders for the Purosangue a few months ago. The automaker is not planning to launch the car on the mass market. The cost of the four-seat car in Europe will start at 390,000 euros. The first deliveries of the SUV are expected at the end of 2023.
