Columbia Sportswear has released quite a few Star Wars-themed jackets over the past few years.
And this time the company has introduced a limited edition Challenger anorak jacket, Star Wars Force Editions. The Columbia team worked closely with Lucasfilm to create these models. Consumers will be able to choose from a dark variant adorned with Imperial details, or a light variant with the Rebel Alliance logo. Also on the jackets, depending on their color, you can find the inscription: "May the Force be with you" or "You underestimate the power of the Dark Side", typed in the Arubesh alphabet.
In the best traditions Columbia, these jackets will be able to warm and protect their wearer in a variety of weather. Their sale will start on December 6th at 12:01 pm ET in the company's stores, as well as on the company's website. Their cost will be $200. Both male and female models will be available.
But for the true fans the Star Wars sagas Columbia has prepared a real surprise. They will feature a limited edition jacket signed by actor Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker. The cost of such a jacket will already be $900, and in total there will be 25 pieces available (it is not specified, however, whether they will all be light).
Signed jackets will be sold only in some of the company's outlets - in New York, Buena Vista, Portland, Minneapolis and Seattle. There is no doubt that these triggers will not be stale and will immediately become a real collector's value and their cost in the secondary market will be much higher.
