Canadian division of the automaker Honda (Honda Canada Inc.) reported a hacker attack, as a result of which the attackers gained access to 283,000 personal data of the company's customers.
We are talking about data such as residential addresses, phone numbers, information about purchased cars and some figures related to payment for services. However, Honda Canada Inc. claims that the hackers could not get to more serious information, such as credit or bank card numbers. However, just in case, all victims were notified by e-mail where and how to call in case of questions or anything suspicious.
The company's specialists noted the fact that for the first time suspicious activity was noticed back in February of this year. At the same time, some security measures were taken.
