The company became famous all over the world as the creator of the fastest amphibious vehicles.
At the origins of WaterCar, Inc. there is a certain Dave March, who founded a small car repair shop in 1976. Over time, the small business has grown into Fountain Valley Body Works - one of the largest and most respected offices in those places, which it remains to this day. During this time, thousands of cars have been repaired. But apparently, Dave eventually got bored with repair activities. He was interested in amphibious vehicles.
In 1990, Dave begins experiments to create his own models. It should be noted here that Dave was interested not just in amphibians, but those capable of developing high speeds. Moreover, it was not enough for him to create one model, as they say, for himself. I wanted to make them for sale. That's how I was born watercar, inc.
Years devoted to working with cars were not in vain, and hard work played a role - in 2004, Dave introduced his first amphibian. Similar in appearance to the legendary chevrolet camaro, the amphibian was capable of speeds on water up to 72 km / h (speed on land - 200 km / h), not available to every boat. Its cost was 150,000 US dollars.

Unfortunately, it is not known how successful it was on sale. However, the technique is very specific. But it seems that everything is not so bad, because more models were introduced later: a nice SUV Gator and a contender for the role of the fastest amphibian - Python. The first is distinguished by good cross-country ability on land and a very affordable cost of $ 30,000. But the second ... This monster is able to rush along the water surface at a speed of almost 100 km / h (to be completely accurate, its speed is 96.6 km / h). Very few speedboats are capable of this. On land, the performance of the "Python" is much more modest - up to 160 km / h. But up to 100 km / h, the amphibian accelerates in 4.5 seconds - the characteristics of a sports car. The cost of such happiness is 200,000 dollars.

Truth, Python does not hold the absolute speed record among amphibians. However, given that the record holder - Sealegs - is not a car as such (in fact, it is a boat with wheels), "Python" can still be elevated to the rank of champions among amphibious vehicles. And yet this is only the beginning. watercar clearly feels well and is eager to continue his activities.
As such, the company has no slogan. But visitors to the site are greeted by two proud inscriptions, which, if desired, can fulfill this role:
– Builders of the World´s FASTEST Amphibious Vehicle
– High-Speed performance in an Amphibious Vehicle
