Line of "musical" phones of the company Nokia. The main feature of the models included in it is their suitability for constant use as a media player. These phones are necessarily equipped with additional playback control keys (usually at least three: fast forward and rewind, as well as play / pause). Most of them are smartphones.
The series was created to create competition for music phones Walkman from Sony Ericsson.
The series was originally called XpressMusic. Nokia 3250, with an unusual form factor, appeared in the first quarter of 2006 as the first phone related to it. To date, the number of phones related to XpressMusic has already exceeded a dozen.
It was in this series that the company's first phone with full touch control appeared: Nokia 5800.
Since the middle of 2009, the line has received a new name. In order to match other series of the company (N series и Eseries), now called xseries.
