The first line includes more than 140 models of clothes, shoes and accessories.
Zalando enters the clothing market for people with disabilities with the launch of its own capsule collection.
By 2025, the online retailer promises to offer its customers a “truly inclusive product offering and experience” in new categories.
The first collection includes more than 140 models of clothing, footwear and accessories for people with disabilities, including comfortable ones for wheelchairs, as well as for people with sensitive skin. The line is available for sale in the 25 countries where Zalando operates.
For Zalando, which owns the private labels Zign, Pier One and Anna Field, entering a new segment is a challenge. As part of the campaign, the online retailer also launched an ad for a new clothing collection featuring people with disabilities.
“Our vision is to be the Starting Point for Fashion that is welcoming to everyone. We see a gap in the fashion market — finding fashionable adaptive clothing still represents a challenge for disabled people”, says Sara Diez, VP Category Women and Private Labels at Zalando.
