In the global fashion market, collaborations with musical groups and top-notch artists are growing in popularity.
Last year, joint projects were noted, including Maluma and Balmain, Travis Scott and Nike, Justin Bieber and Adidas and many others.
This time, the collaboration was presented by the cult British fashion brand Fred Perry and the virtual musical group Gorillaz, created in 1998 by Blur frontman Damon Albarn, a big fan of the brand.
As part of the project, the virtual four Gorillaz presented their own remix of Fred Perry branded items - polo shirts, jackets, jumpers and accessories received bright characteristic prints in pink, brown and white, as well as an image of a crane imitating the band's logo.
The nylon jackets are reimagined with “Reject False Icons,” a nod to the 2019 Gorillaz movie of the same name. They are paired with trousers made of water-repellent fabric. The collection is completed by a leather bowling bag with the same signature Gorillaz crane.
The Fred Perry x Gorillaz collection will go on sale on May 20 and will be available to fans of the brand and the work of the British band only online. To purchase items from the Exclusive Collection, you must register on the Fred Perry website prior to the sale start date.
