The new "canned" product will be launched at the end of 2022.
Jack-and-Coke is a new alcoholic cocktail in aluminum cans created by Coca-Cola and Brown-Forman, the whiskey company Jack Daniel's.
Brown-Forman has been producing its own cocktails, including those with "regular" cola, for the past thirty years. The partnership with the food giant opens up new horizons for the manufacturer.
This is Coca-Cola's fourth cocktail in the last two years. Previously, the company launched joint products with Molson Coors Beverage and launched the Fresca mixed cocktail series in collaboration with Constellation Brands.
Consumption of non-alcoholic carbonated beverages has been declining in recent years, so manufacturers are looking for new ways to make money. For example, in early 2022, PepsiCo launched Hard Mtn Dew in partnership with Sam Adams Boston Beer.
For companies specializing in the production of alcohol, cooperation with such giants as Coca-Cola or PepsiCo also has its advantages and allows diversifying portfolios.
Jack-and-Coke will be launched in Mexico in late 2022. Later the product will be introduced to other international markets. An alternative version of the drink with zero sugar content will also be created. The packaging of the cocktail will show the Coke and Jack Daniel's logos, as well as a warning that the product is intended for adults only.
