The launch of the Stellar Pizza project will take place this fall.
American rap artist Jay-Z has decided to invest $16.5 million in the innovative restaurant project Stellar Pizza. This is the world's first completely mobile pizzeria, which will be served by robots.
The official launch of the project will take place this fall at the University of California. According to the developers, it will take less than 5 minutes to cook pizza by robots, and up to 420 pizzas can be made during the day.
Jay-Z entered the project's funding round with its firm Marcy Venture Partners, which has also invested in major consumer brands including Therabody and Savage x Fenty.
The idea of Stellar Pizza belongs to former SpaceX managers Benson Tsai, Brian Langone and James Wahavisan. As planned, robotic trucks will deliver hot pizza directly to the house. Thanks to full automation labor costs will be minimized, and the use of trucks will eliminate the costly rental of commercial real estate.
