Adobadas, Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Popper or Wavy Carnitas Street Tacos?
Lay's is preparing for the upcoming World Cup - an unusual collection of flavors dedicated to the World Cup in Qatar will go on sale. Choose from Adobadas, Bacon Jalapeno Popper and Wavy Carnitas Street Tacos.
New flavors created specifically for North and Latin America are inspired by local dishes. The Carnitas flavored chips feature the national flag of Mexico, while the Jalapeno Popper features the colors of the American flag.
Lay's promises that in the near future, completely new flavors of chips may appear in other countries as part of the celebration of the main football event of four years.
““Soccer is the fastest growing sport in North America and, with snacking so intrinsically tied to the at-home viewing experience, now is the perfect moment to enter the game and offer our consumers new ways to heighten their FIFA World Cup experience,” said Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing for Frito-Lay in North America.
Lay's notes that with the release of new products, they expect to connect fans through their passion for the game and love for snacks and deliver even more smiles throughout the tournament.
The new Lay's World Cup flavors will be available at the end of the month priced at $2.29 and $5.49 respectively. Also, Lay's will hold a drawing among the fans, and the main prize will be a trip to the final of the World Cup 2022.
