By decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Internet users of this country are restricted from accessing nine major resources containing content that can offend the feelings of believers. This is not the first time: earlier, for some time, access to Facebook.
This time the list includes sites such as Google, Bing, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo!, YouTube и Amazon, as well as two more large portals. But if the last two really differ in their openly anti-Islamic character, and even on YouTube sometimes characteristic videos slip through, then the authorities obviously overdid it with the largest search engines. It is also reported that seventeen more, much less well-known small resources, will be blocked altogether.
This action caused dissatisfaction primarily among the providers of Pakistan. In their opinion, if strict bans are introduced, users will simply have no reason to go online.
