According to an official announcement from Nintendo, the first Super Nintendo World theme park will open in Osaka next spring.
Originally planned to open Super Nintendo World before the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, but the date was postponed along with the Games themselves due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the company hopes that the long-awaited event will still take place in the spring of 2021.
In addition, next week, on October 16th, Nintendo will open a themed cafe and shop, which, like Super Nintendo World, will be located in the Universal Studios Japan park. In the shop, visitors will be able to purchase various goods, such as T-shirts and bags, and in the cafe, they can taste various sweets and drinks, all decorated in the style of Super Mario.
Super Nintendo World theme park is the latest and greatest attempt Nintendo license your intellectual property outside of video games.
