Playboy Enterprises is considering a takeover of Lovers, a chain of sexual health stores.
To date, Lovers is offline stores (41 pieces in total) in different US cities, as well as an online store. There you can buy a variety of sexual health products, including lingerie and intimacy products. The stores are very popular and the goods they offer are in demand so much that the value of the network is estimated at 25 million dollars.
The Forbes publishing house reported on the possibility of the transaction, citing its own sources related to it. Such a takeover is said to be part of plans to develop Playboy as a brand of life with maximum pleasure. Forced to discontinue of its legendary magazine in 2020, the company now deals with a variety of consumer products, from clothes to works of art and using their famous name and logo. The takeover of the Lovers network fits in well with such a business plan.
According to Forbes, representatives Playboy can confirm the fact of the transaction in the very near future. Most likely, then all the details will become officially known.
