In June 2019, the Swedish concern Volvo will present the first annual car rental service in Russia by subscription, Anton Svekolnikov, a top manager of the Russian division of Volvo, told the Vedomosti newspaper. The project will involve a limited number of Volvo XC60 cars, which will be provided by Moscow dealers.
The service can be used by every client who has reached the age of 25, driving experience will not affect the provision of the service. To receive a car, those who wish will be asked to fill out a questionnaire on a special website and provide a package of documents, then register their bank card to make the first payment.
Checking the documents of the future tenant will take several days. After verification, you will need to make the first payment, then the funds from the card will be debited automatically. The subscription will be valid for one year. The cost of the service will include payment of transport tax, car maintenance, insurance under the OSAGO and CASCO programs.
Mikhail Zhmakov, director of the Avilon branch of Ford and Volvo, said that 50 cars in the maximum configuration (with a capacity of 249 hp) were allocated for the new project, with a base catalog price of 3.8 million rubles. The monthly payment for the annual subscription service for the Volvo XC60 will be 59,500 rubles. After operation, the car can be returned to the dealer, who will sell the used car. It will be possible to cancel the subscription only with the payment of penalties prescribed in the contract.
It is assumed that by the end of 2019 the number of cars provided for rent will be increased due to the expansion of the model range.
