The Japanese company Datsun had a complicated but interesting history. Founded in 1911, it was one of the automakers that eventually merged into Nissan.
Which later consigned to oblivion the name of its ancestor, but oblivion in the end turned out to be temporary. And now, almost 30 years after the abandonment of the brand Datsun, Nissan decided to revive it. For the first time, information about such an intention of a well-known Japanese manufacturer appeared back in 2012. However, now the final confirmation of this has appeared - the first car, called the Datsun Go, has been demonstrated.
Datsun cars were once famous for being inexpensive, simple and very reliable. It is assumed that they will be so now (at least, there are no questions regarding simplicity and cheapness). The manufacturer sees their market in developing countries - Russia, India, China, Brazil.
It is reported that the cost of Datsun Go in India will be about 8000 dollars. They will be on sale in the near future.
Production of Datsun Go in Russia is planned to be launched in 2014. The production of these cars will be handled by AvtoVAZ.
