The project was developed in partnership with Qualcomm.
Meta unveiled the new $500 Quest 3 VR headset. The project was developed in collaboration with Qualcomm - the headset runs on the new Snapdragon chipset.
The new product will go into mass production in the fall of 2023. Meta calls its new product a 40% thinner and more powerful alternative to the Quest 2. The device will also offer users higher resolution and improved performance.
The Quest 3 will come with 128GB of storage as standard, with the option to add more options. The new Snapdragon chipset will deliver twice as many GPUs as Quest 2, meeting the most demanding users' needs.
The new series will track hand movements so the headset can be used without controllers. More information will be presented at Meta Connect on September 27.
