For $40-70, customers can enjoy a cigar or joint from one of the world's best-selling musicians.
Jay-Z, one of the world's most popular rappers, will launch a premium cannabis brand called Monogram. The brand was officially presented on December 10, when the main collection was shown to customers, which in the future will be supplemented by a wide variety of offers.
Several varieties are already available for purchase, which vary in strength, from light to heavier. There is also a choice in the format - you can buy cigars, "jambs" and cans with cannabis flowers. The cost of production is in the range from $40 to $70.
According to Jay-Z himself, his new brand is designed to change the very definition of cannabis and pay tribute to the creators of the product. According to his rapper, he "created Monogram to give cannabis the respect it deserves, demonstrating the amazing hard work, time and care that goes into making a great smoke."
Jay-Z began working on the creation of Monogram back in 2019: together with Caliva, which was later acquired by Subversive Capital Acquisition Corp. Caliva eventually became part of a legal entity called The Parent Co. along with a number of other cannabis producers. The role of Jay-Z in The Parent Co. will be to manage the brand strategy and determine the ways of its development.
It's not the rapper's first business venture, and billionaire Jay-Z is adding the cannabis brand to successful ventures such as D'Usse cognac, streaming service Tidal and entertainment company Roc Nation.
