The international sports brand Fila has announced plans to build a branded hotel in the Celestial Empire.
The opening is scheduled for 2024. Hyatt is partner in developing the concept of the project. The first hotel under the Fila House brand will be located in the business district of Hongqiao West.
“The hotel will be a unique expression of Fila's history, culture, products and fashion trends. We believe that the JdV by Hyatt brand experience, young at heart, will be a fitting reflection of Fila's spirit of life,” commented Brian Yiwu, CEO of Fila in China.
Hyatt develops an international network of independent hotels under the JdV brand, which means “joy of life”. The hotels are aimed at younger consumers and are known for allowing dogs. To date, the network is represented, including in Rome, Chicago and Toronto. JdV already has one hotel in China, BEI Zhaolong in Beijing.
Information about how the interiors of the hotel will look like has not yet been disclosed. It is assumed that they will be made in branded red and navy blue colors with sports brand logos, writes CNN.
The luxury hotel market in Shanghai has been developing rapidly in recent years. So, located on the top floors of the Shanghai Tower skyscraper, the J Hotel (opened in the summer of 2021) has already been recognized as the highest in the world. And the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland has gained worldwide fame due to the fact that 16 of its 18 floors are actually underground, in a quarry.
