"Celebrity meal" is back.
McDonald's unveiled a new menu as part of its "celebrity lunch" project. The Cardi B & Offset meal was developed for Valentine's Day and was shown for the first time during Super Bowl pre-match events.
In the ad accompanying the novelty, Cardi B says she prefers a cheeseburger with BBQ sauce and a large serving of Coke, and Offset prefers a Quarter Pounder burger with cheese and a large Hi-C Orange Lavaburst. In addition, the stars share a large portion of fries and a hot apple pie for two.
“Whether it’s going for a date night or grabbing a bite after late-night studio sessions, I’m always asking Offset to take me to McDonald’s,” Cardi B said in a press release. “And now, Offset and I have a meal named after us! I want all my fans to try it – especially with that BBQ sauce.”
McDonald's first produced a "celebrity lunch" in 1992, and the initiative was subsequently scrapped. However, since 2020, the fast-food giant has returned to the program, inviting Travis Scott as a star. Later, BTS, J Balvin, and Mariah Carey participated in the celebrity meal.
A new set from Cardi B & Offset will arrive at American McDonald's restaurants starting February 14.
