Company McDonald's This is not the first time it has been sued, this time the Center for Science in the Public Interest has filed a claim against the most famous fast food restaurant.
The essence of the plaintiff's dissatisfaction is that the company McDonald's offers special sets with toys for children - Happy Meal and thus, according to representatives of the Center, encourages children to choose obviously unhealthy food. Wanting to get a toy (and many children ask their parents to buy a Happy Meal just for the sake of interesting and high-quality toys), the child also receives a high-calorie “fast food” that is not recommended by doctors and nutritionists, high in fat, salt and sugar.
In June of this year, the corporation was warned that if the production of products aimed at attracting children does not stop, then a lawsuit will be filed. The main requirement was not to supply food sets with toys. Since no action representatives McDonald's did not, a San Francisco court filed a lawsuit demanding a ban on the sale of sets like the Happy Meal.
