Semi Truck is a range of 500 mile and exceptional driving pleasure.
Tesla has agreed the first deliveries of its innovative trucks to PepsiCo. Six Tesla Semi Trucks will enter service with the food giant from December 1, 2022.
A cooperation agreement between Tesla and PepsiCo was signed back in December 2017 - the parties agreed to supply 100 vehicles. Finally, Tesla's long-awaited plans will be implemented in the very near future.
Information about the upcoming deliveries was confirmed on Twitter by Elon Musk. “Excited to announce start of production of Tesla Semi Truck with deliveries to @Pepsi on Dec 1st! 500 mile range & super fun to drive” said the head of Tesla.
The all-electric truck will be able to reach speeds of up to 60 miles per hour in 20 seconds with a fully loaded body. At the same time, the Tesla Semi Truck will develop “highway-level speed even on steep climbs.” For 300 or 500 mile of range, only 70% of charge is required, which can be achieved in half an hour.
Tesla began accepting bids for the Semi Truck in May 2022. In August, the pre-order was closed. Official deliveries to other companies should begin in 2023.
