German luxury fashion brand Philipp Plein continues its expansion into Asian markets by opening its first single-brand store in Singapore.
The new retail space is located in the award-winning Marina Bay Sands Resort, a three-tower gondola terraced complex designed by architect Moshe Safdie and part of the portfolio of Las Vegas Sands Corporation.
Philipp Plein's new flagship monostor is located on two levels of the building and covers an area of 236 square meters. On the first floor of the store there is a men's room, on the second - a women's room. At the entrance to the men's room is the iconic crystal skull with a hexagonal display. The extravagant design of the store is distinguished by black marble stairs between floors and Murano glass chandeliers.
As of early 2019, Philipp Plein operates 34 stores in the Asia region, mainly located in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand. In May of this year, as part of the international expansion, four new Philipp Plein stores are scheduled to open in Seoul, Kuwait, Bangkok and Mykonos, bringing the number of single-brand stores to 100.
Based in Switzerland, Phillipp Plein International Group operates stores under the Philipp Plein, Plein Sport and Billionaire Couture brands. The company's turnover is estimated at 300 million euros per year. The group currently operates over 250 stores worldwide.
