Rumors have appeared on the web that the world's largest retailer Wal-Mart has attempted to take over the Turkish chain of retail stores Migros.
It is reported that managers wal mart have already put forward a commercial offer to the owners of Migros. The American giant is looking to acquire 80% of the Turkish company's shares, which it has valued at $4 billion.
Today Migros is the largest retailer in Turkey, with a network of 888 stores of various formats. This is a tidbit that, in addition to Wal-Mart, companies such as British Tesco and French Carrefour are also allegedly eyeing.
