The new collection will go on sale in January 2023.
French fashion house Louis Vuitton has confirmed an upcoming collaboration with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The new joint collection will go on sale in January 2023, ten years after their first collaboration.
In anticipation of the new release, Louis Vuitton marked an unusual campaign, placing a bright advertisement in the iconic locations of Tokyo - Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Station, Zojoji Temple, Shiba Park and the Shinjuku area.

The brand used both physical media and augmented reality installations to showcase the work created in partnership with the 93-year-old artist. Immersive installations can be unlocked with AR filters. The campaign also offers a virtual try-on of sunglasses from the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama line.
Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama unveiled signature collaboration bags and accessories in May 2022, with Japanese-inspired pieces featured at the LV Cruise 2023 presentation.

“These exclusive bags are a new interpretation of the artist’s obsessive dots on Louis Vuitton’s signature kits as well as on new models,” the company commented.
The first Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collaboration dates back to the days of Marc Jacobs at the helm of the fashion house. Then silhouettes with dots in branded polka dots appeared on the bags of Speedy, Keepall and Neverfull. These models are still in high demand among collectors.
