The new models will begin arriving to customers starting January 24.
Apple has unveiled new models of its flagship MacBook Pro laptops with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. The company said they have six times the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro performance.

Battery life is claimed to be up to 22 hours, the highest in the history of the series. The new models also support Wi-Fi 6E and have enhanced HDMI that supports 8K displays. Other features include a Liquid Retina XDR display, a FaceTime HD 1080p camera, and a sound system with six speakers and studio-quality microphones.

“Today, the MacBook Pro gets even better. With faster performance, enhanced connectivity, and the longest battery life ever in a Mac, along with the best display in a laptop, there’s simply nothing else like it,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

Pre-orders for the new MacBook Pro notebooks have already begun in the U.S. and 26 other countries worldwide. The first deliveries are scheduled for January 24. The retail price of a 16-inch notebook will start at $2499, and the 14-inch model will cost from $1999. Apple has also unveiled a new Mac mini unit with the M2 and M2 Pro chips. Its retail price for the device will start at $599.
